My Dad Fito

As a kid in the Dominican Republic, my Dad Adolfo was known as Adolfito—“Fito” for short. The nickname stuck and followed him to New York City where he married my mom and helped his parents and six brothers and sisters build a home. Passionate about food, culture and community, he worked hard and became Head Chef at the Brooklyn Hospital, bringing nourishment to hundreds of sick people everyday.

He taught me to treat everyone with dignity and respect, reminding me that “it is in giving that we receive,” so perhaps it’s no surprise that I went on to practice the healing arts of acupuncture, massage and aromatherapy. It is in this spirit of giving, and in honor of my Dad who passed away in 2020, that I bring Fito Oils to you. It is my hope that they will empower you to manage everyday stressors so you can live life to the fullest and let your light shine bright.
